Doulos Phos, the story of 104 year-old ship and Singapore
Come let Eric Saw, who prefers to be called the steward (rather than owner) of this Grand Old Lady of the Seas, share with you snippets of her past as well as his 2010 vision of transforming her into the first floating hotel, educational platform and museum in Singapore. He will also present challenges of an earlier failed project and experiences gained during a period of 3 years.
What's his new plan for DOULOS? Eric will announce her new role in the years to come before round up the sharing session.

Speaker - Eric Saw
Eric Saw spent the first two decades of his working life in corporate human resource. Though a generalist HR practitioner, he chose a deliberate inclination towards the training function. He quips with tongue in cheek that though having studied in Business Administration, he was neither interested in business nor administration. 1998 presented a major shift when he acquired the Stewords Riverboat, a floating restaurant wherein he, besides managing a restaurant on board, also conducts training programmes there. 2010 was a moment of truth for him when despite all odds, he found himself having MV Doulos placed in his stewardship. Today Eric is director of Sources Ed-Ventures Pte Ltd, Biznaz Resources International Pte Ltd, PT Biznaz Hotel & Leisure, and Giving Thanks Pte Ltd. |
